Sell Your Yacht

Your yacht deserves the right market.

94%

of listings sell within 18 months, vs. an industry average nearer 30

11%

average difference between our achieved price and initial asking price

3–5

qualified buyer introductions per listing, not hundreds of tyre-kickers

yachts represented at any one time, across the whole firm

Confidential, targeted positioning consistently outperforms wide public listing — both on price achieved and on time to close. We represent a small number of yachts at any time, by design.

01

Valuation

An honest, evidence-based assessment of current market value, based on active deal flow rather than published asking prices.

02

Positioning

Determining the right buyer profile and presentation for your specific yacht — a 60m explorer and a 60m party yacht need different marketing entirely.

03

Marketing

Discreet exposure to qualified buyers through our network, not mass public listing that signals distress.

04

Qualified Buyer Access

Introductions limited to buyers with verified intent and demonstrable means — no tyre-kickers wasting your captain's time.

05

Negotiation

Commercial discussions managed on your behalf, protecting both your asking position and your identity.

06

Closing

Coordinated survey, contract and handover through to completion, including flag and tax structuring introductions.

Valuation Factors

What actually determines your asking price.

Builder pedigree

Certain yards hold resale value through downturns in a way others simply don't — this is weighted before length or age.

Refit history

A documented, yard-certified refit on schedule signals a well-maintained vessel and materially affects achievable price.

Engine hours vs. usage pattern

Low hours relative to age reads as underused, not necessarily well-kept — buyers' surveyors look closely at this ratio.

Provenance

Verified single-owner history and class society records are where serious buyers spend their due-diligence time.

Frequently Asked

Before you enquire.

How is my yacht valued?+

We combine active comparable transactions (not just published asking prices), builder and model-specific depreciation curves, and a physical condition assessment. You receive a written valuation range, not a single figure pulled from a database.

Will my yacht be publicly listed?+

Not by default. Most Aurelis sales are conducted as private, targeted introductions. Public listing is available if you prefer broader exposure, but we'll walk you through the trade-offs first.

What does it cost to sell through Aurelis?+

A standard brokerage commission, agreed and documented before any marketing begins — no hidden fees, no separate 'marketing budget' line.

How long does a typical sale take?+

Well-positioned yachts under 45m typically find a buyer within 4–9 months. Larger or more specialised yachts can take longer; we'll give you a realistic estimate at valuation, not an optimistic one.
